After a varied career mostly
in teaching, Helen Halstead self-published A Private Performance:
A Sequel to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, in 2004. Sales
were strong, and the book was republished by Random House Australia
in September 2005.
A long fascination with disappearances inspired Helen's second
novel, The Imaginary Gentleman: A Regency Intrigue, which
was published by Random House in 2006.
Helen's current project - a story of family secrets - is an historical
novel set in South Australia in 1918. She lives in Adelaide, South
Australia, with her two sons, and now writes full-time.
